Let’s Get Busy
March 5, 2007
Welcome to The Journey’s first ever official blog! TOTALLY TANAKH has been set up for you to have a convenient place to engage with what’s coming up on Sunday mornings throughout the month of March.
Here’s the scoop:
From March 11th – April 1st, we’ll dive in to the Old Testament stories that have long seemed a bit foreign [ok, ok... straight up nuts]. Seriously, have you ever read these accounts? Forbidden fruit, fatty floods, giants… Is it possible that these stories still have something important to teach us about God’s character and His interaction with us today? hmmm…
Here’s how it works:
Each week we’ll learn about a specific Old Testament story and most importantly what it communicates about God. Then each day -starting Sunday, March 11th – a chunk of the story that was discussed that Sunday will be posted here for you to read. And so on and so forth all the way through the first week of April.
Here’s what you do:
Check out this blog as often as possible to browse the daily reading, comment about it, dialogue with others, and ask questions. The easiest and most convenient way to do this is to subscribe to this blog so that new posts are automatically delivered to your email. At the end of this series, the hope is that you’ll have an overview of the Old Testament, a deeper understanding of the nature of God, and an appreciation for the wild and crazy tales you’ve heard about so that you too can [heart] the BCs.
*Bonus!* Take the TOTALLY TANAKH reading challenge and read EVERY day this month and you could win a one-of-a-kind iron on TOTALLY TANAKH t-shirt! You know you want one.

Isn’t weird how the bible never talks about how the other people came to be? Wives for Eve’s children? Their sisters?

Trey! I’ve always thought that… but every time I ask Jeff he rolls his eyes and looks at me pitifully. I think it’s cuz he doesn’t know either.
